MISSION STATEMENT

 
This Mission Statement communicates to our members, through out patronage to Mary, our Mother, a deep faith in her Son, Jesus Christ, and a devotion to the Church.  Our programs offer members an opportunity to develop their special God-given talents in a meaningful way to influence the welfare of the Church and all mankind.  The mission of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas is:
  • To focus on the gifts of the Holy Spirit for success in our Church and our community;
  • To value the well-being of the Church, our community, and all peoples throughout the world;
  • To participate in the religious, charitable, and educational apostolates of our Church;
  • To embrace the principle of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and dignity of all.
 
 
CONTRIBUTIONS
 
In recent years, the court has contributed to:  CDA National and State charities; tuition assistance to the three parochial elementary schools in Ebensburg, Loretto, and Nanty Glo; Mt. Aloysius College scholarships; Poetry Contest prizes and Religion Awards for graduates; Diocesan pro-life; Morality in Media; Legion of Mary rosary rallies; Birthright of Johnstown/Ebensburg; Mom's House; Ebensburg Food Pantry; St. Vincent de Paul; Hinche, Haiti; etc.  Also, sizable contributions have been made to help support a seminarian; to the Ebensburg Public Library; to the Young People's Community Center; to the Cambria County Historical Society; and to the Bishop Carroll High School Endowment.
